This straw hat parrot enrichment offers shredding fun and foraging opportunities with the ability to stuff the center of the hat with valuable foot toys or food. The hanging base is made so the toy is not level. The sisal rope is centered in the hat upon arrival so the hat sits sideways when you hang it from the top of your bird’s cage. This adds challenges for your bird to keep them engaged longer, and then the toy lasting longer as well. The untreated, unoiled sisal string can be used in different ways to affect the movement of the toy. If you plan to use the inside of the hat as an area for pellets, shredded paper, or toy parts, simply string it up around a cage bar, back down into the straw hat (a hole can be created using scissors), and tie it underneath for less of a tiled effect. So, the sisal rope would look like a upside down “V” using the cage bars and two knots under the hat.
