Affiliate Program

We are exited to offer an affiliate program to all of our customers who love our toy line. No matter your online social presence, or your impact on your local parrot community, we want to offer you the chance to make some money on the side by promoting our toy line.

We want to offer our affiliates a 10% off coupon code that they can encourage others to use at checkout with all of their purchases, whether it is with enrichment items or services we provide. When someone uses your code at checkout, you will receive 10% of their order total excluding any shipping, service charges, and taxes.

The push to move to affiliation with others comes down to our current capabilities as a small business. We want to grow and continue our mission, but we do not have the man power needed to do all the avenues we want. We would love to hire a marketing director to handle marketing for us, but we are not at a place to be able to compensate someone appropriately for their part-time, or full-time work, including benefits.

This is where our affiliate program comes into play! By promoting the products and services you receive from us, we are able to compensate you when your code is being used. You can choose to put as much time into this as you are able to when you are able to. It is our way to thank you for sharing the love! You can also use them on your own orders to get 10% off and 10% paid back to you.

The only limitation we have at this time is you must be a United States resident. Since this is a new program, it’s something we want to work out before adding complexities to the mix come tax season. We will be reviewing this in the future to expand our horizons. Our international shipping is unaffected by this.

Relaxed Criteria

We are not an affiliation partnership that is going to increase your stress! Since this is a commission-based opportunity, we want to make it as easy for you as possible. We do not want to make this too challenging for you maintain, take away opportunities you earned/want to do, and we do not want to exclude you because there are restrictions (like social media following).

Payouts will be completed on the first of the month for the previous month. We send out invoices to you directly. We do this through PayPal invoicing. If you earn more than $500.00 with us, than we will be mailing out W2 to you directly.
We will keep your code active till the end of the year. We will send an email out to all of our affiliates asking if they wish to renew in our program. If you do not respond, or wish to continue your participation, then your code will be officially deactivated at the end of January.
You will be asked to sign a general contract that outlines the amount you are paid (10%), when payments happen, and how they happen. We ask for your general information for tax purposes. We describe your tasks (promoting the code/products/services), how many posts you need to make (no current minimum), and the general verbiage to use in your posts (not a script, just outlining definitions of terms, how to use our toys, etc. to help guide you through posting). It describes conditions where your participation in the affiliate program would be revoked early, or under what conditions would we ask you to delete a post.
No! We understand everyone has power behind their voice, no matter ho many “followers” they have. We ask for your social media handles, but we are not focused on how many followers you have. We just want to be sure you will align with the program!
With every post you make online sharing your code, we require you to tag us (@can_of_nutella or @fluff.n.feathers) and describe that you are an affiliate. Fluff and Feathers does not appreciate possible deceptive marketing for our clients and customers. We want you to follow current regulations on how to post content you may be benefiting financially from. This is outlined in the contract. If there are any posts that are not properly disclosing, we will immediately ask you to revise the post or take it down entirely.
Below will be a form that we ask you to fill out to be reviewed. From there, if you are accepted into the program, we will email over the contract you will need to fill out.
At this time, we cannot offer free product to our affiliates. But, we do require at least one order/service from us in the past. We do not feel comfortable adding an affiliate to our program that has not purchased from us before. We feel that falls under deceptive marketing. We want your words to be genuine.
Once you have ordered or worked with us in the past, whether your animal has destroyed the products or you still have them, we welcome you to join our program! We have ample video and photos we are happy to share for you to use!
No! Our line is not limited to just parrots! We have an entire rodent line as well. whether you have feathered or furry friends, Fluff and Feathers is happy to welcome you!
If you wish to promote strictly our services, we welcome all species, facilities, and organizations.
NOOOOO!
We are not setting up an MLM program ever. We are not requiring you to purchase a kit with us. You will not be able to get a downline of people who you benefit off of their code being used. You are not allowed to sell products directly. We do not claim this to be “starting your own business.”
We require one purchase from us so you can experience our products and services before promoting them so you are authentic. You could make a decent amount of pocket change, but we recommend you keep your job at all times. You do get a percentage of the sales, which is why it is important to disclose that in your posts!
We do not mind as long as the other company doesn’t! We understand the way to make money as a content creator is to work with other brands. Fluff and Feathers feels like their mission and products are unique in the market. We are not a competitive business; all business have more than enough room to shine! There are enough animal lovers out there to purchase products and services from all the brands and stores.
We elevate ourselves through our high-quality products, behavior-change focus, being 100% handmade, and our unique designs. The contract asks you to list brands you are currently working with and notify us if you are working with another brand in the animal field. This does not affect your standing with us!
